From the moment I saw the gorgeous cover for Heart in the Higlands by Heidi Kimball and read the blurb, I knew I had to read this book. I’m so glad to say it did not disappoint in the least! This is a beautiful must-read for all historical romance lovers!

I always love a good arranged marriage/marriage-of-convenience story, so this one was a winner for me from the start. From the first chapter I was sucked into Kate and Callum’s story, and I continued to root for them all the way through—even when Callum was a complete “eejit” ?. And talk about swoon and sigh worthy! **heart eyes** The romance in this book is a good as it gets, guys! A handsome, broody but sweet Scottish hero, a lovely, artistic heroine, and a love between them that is hard won and as true as it can be. Ahhh! It’s utter perfection! Bravo, Heidi!
My other two favorite things about this book? 1.) Charlotte! She’s the sweetest, cutest little girl and I loved any scenes with her, especially those where she was interacting with Callum. 2.) SCOTLAND! Just the fact that this book is set in Scotland alone wins it extra points in my book! I mean, how can you go wrong with this gorgeous, romantic land?
If you’re in need of some arm-chair travel to Scotland and a swoony romance, look no further than Heart in the Highlands! 5/5 Stars!
