For the Book Lovers

Christmas Gift Guide for Book Lovers

Do you have a friend or family member that’s a bibliophile (AKA: book lover)? Or are you the book lover looking for fun things to add to your Christmas Wish-list? Well, I thought it would be fun to put together a gift guide to help you find just the right present to get for that bookworm in your life, or to ad to your own list! There’s nothing like giving (or getting) a gift that speaks to that person’s heart and relates to something they love.

I have a few of these fun book-themed goodies, and others are still on my own wish-list. I hope you see some things you love as well!

PS: If you want to learn more about or purchase any of these products, simply click the photo (or in the case of the galleries of multiple photos, the link in the caption) to visit the product website!

Book Beau

Photo from Book Beau website

I stumbled across Book Beau on Instagram last year. They are a start-up company that makes protective pouch cases to carry your books in. I always have my current read (or reads!) in my purse, everywhere I go. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pulled my book out to find pages or the covers crinkled or bent thanks to the other contents of my purse! These handy cases that come in multiple sizes and a variety of fun prints and colors (think LulaRoe style), will keep whatever book you’re toting around safe and looking like new! I haven’t had the chance to order a Book Beau for myself yet, but I want to get one soon!

Enchanted Library Candle from Spireside

I haven’t ordered this item either, but I am dying to! I’m so curious to see how this boutique candle company managed to capture the unmistakable scent of old books! If you or someone on your gift list loves candles, books, and specifically the smell of books, as I do, this would make a great, unique gift!

Book page holder

I received one of these handy little devices last year for Christmas from my cousin after she drew my name for our family gift exchange. If you’re a reader, you know it is SO hard to hold a book comfortably in one hand! That may sound dramatic if you don’t know the struggle, but it’s a real problem. Thankfully, someone got smart and had the idea to make these little plastic do-hickies that help you hold your book open with no problem at all!

The Little Library Cookbook by Kate Young

I also received this cookbook–the coolest cookbook ever!–from my cousin last Christmas. If you or your favorite book lover also loves to cook, this would make the perfect gift! As stated on the cover, it contains 100 recipes for food referenced in classic literature, from the Cherry Cordial in Anne of Green Gables to Christmas Pudding as referenced in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol—which takes three months to make! I’m serious, y’all. You have to wrap the thing in fabric and hang it from a wooden spoon in your house to dry for three months! I haven’t tried out any of the recipes yet because #time and #money, as most of them are time consuming and use uncommon, and therefore, pricey ingredients. BUT as soon as I can afford to splurge on the ingredients, I want to spend a Saturday trying my hand at one of these historical recipes! I’ll be sure to share that adventure! Ha!

Personal Library Kit or Personalized Library Stamp

Now this is something every book lover needs if they routinely lend out their beloved books to friends or family! It’s a joy to share your favorite stories with others, but you want those books to be well-cared for and returned to you. Having the inside cover marked with a reminder of who the book belongs to will help the borrower keep track of how long they’ve had it and help them remember to return it. I’ve provided two different options for this one: this library kit from Amazon or, for a simpler alternative, this stamp from MarkStampShop on Etsy. MarkStampShop has many other stamp designs to choose from if this one doesn’t suit your fancy.

Book Tote Bag from Out of Print

Out of Print makes the funnest book-themed tote bags! They have a couple dozen different designs, including some totes made to look like the covers of classic literature and other more modern popular novels. Can I get half a dozen of them, please? Ha! Pictured are just a few of my favorites.

Book T-shirt from Out of Print

Out of Print also has some awesome book-themed t-shirts (for both men and women). Here are a few that I personally love! I oddly really want the one with the pigeon screaming, “So many books, so little time!” I feel you, pigeon, I feel you.

Book-themed Mug

Coffee mugs always make great go-to gifts, and for the book lover in your life, this book-themed one from Amazon would be the perfect choice. If this one isn’t your cup of tea (see what I did there?), simply search for “book coffee mug” on Amazon and you’ll find dozens of other choices!

Personalized Bookmark

Can a reader ever have too many bookmarks? I think not! A personalized one with their name on it would make a thoughtful gift they will use and appreciate for a long time. Check out this one from XcaliburInk on Etsy that’s less than $10! There any many other bookmark options on the website as well.

Amazon gift card

If all else fails, a simple gift card is ALWAYS a good idea! The recipient can then go purchase exactly what they want and have the joy of getting the anticipated package in the mail (the best part about ordering things online!). An Amazon gift card is an ideal gift for any book lover because they can order some of the books from their to-read list.

Did you find anything that makes your bookish heart go pitter-patter? Or the perfect present for that loved one you’re shopping for? I hope so! Be sure to let me know which are your favorites in the comments!
