Hi, there! Thanks for taking the time to visit my website! Here’s a little bit about my life to help you get to know me:

My name is Ashton Elizabeth Dorow, and I am a Texas girl, born and raised. Growing up in a preacher’s home, I had the privilege of being involved in basically every facet of ministry alongside my parents. Being a PK (preacher’s kid) wasn’t always easy, but I wouldn’t have traded it for anything!

At the age of fourteen, I began my first novel and fell head-over-heels for writing! I appreciate the power of a good story, and love the process of creating a cast of characters and an entire world from my imagination. Words are powerful, and I hope to use them in any way I can to bring glory to God.

In 2016, I began dating my husband, Austin Dorow. He is truly the man of my dreams, my very own “Prince Charming”! He proposed to me on Christmas in 2017 (it was the sweetest, most beautiful proposal ever!) and on September 8, 2018 we began our happily ever after. We’re loving young married life in our little home with our dogs: Rambo, our giant Brazilian Mastiff/Anatolian Shepherd, and Rusty, our tiny, cuddly Yorkie. Currently, we are part of the music team at the church I grew up in–Abundant Life Church in Willis, TX–help in our Children’s Ministry department, and serve on our church’s youth committee. We love working with kids and teens and value every opportunity to positively impact their lives.

In 2020, I published my debut novel, The Peasant Queen, which is a medieval retelling of Esther. I originally wrote the book at sixteen, so it has been near and dear to my heart for many years. It was a surreal experience to finally put it out in the world, and I have been so blessed by what God has done through it so far!

Since publishing TPQ, I have released two Biblical fiction short stories, along with my second novel, The Love of a Princess. I have so many other stories running around in my head and look forward to many more years of sharing them with you–Lord willing!

I hope you will follow along with me on this blogging and writing journey. My dearest wish is for the Lord to use these words He has given me to be a blessing to others!
